Information Collection & Use

 

Ordering a product

In order to place an order from this Web site, you must first enter your personal information required by our bank and/or create a user name and password.  During registration you are required to give contact information (such as name and email address). We use this information to verify your identity and to contact you about the services on our site in which you have expressed interest. 

You will have the opportunity to check a box that will subscribe you to any newsletters we send or on product updates.

VO2 Maxed Inc.  is the sole owner of the information collected on www.cardiocoach.com. VO2 Maxed Inc.  collects personally identifiable information from our users at several different points on our Web site.

Orders

If you purchase a product or service from us, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on our order form. You must provide contact information (such as name, email, and shipping address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). 

We use this information for billing purposes and to fill your orders.  If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you.

We use PayPal to facilitate our order/payment processing.   When you place an order and choose to use PayPal you will be automatically transferred to PayPal’s site.  Please be aware that their privacy policy governs the use and collection of the information and is shared back with us to fulfill the order.

Surveys or Contests

From time-to-time we may provide you the opportunity to participate in contests or surveys on our site.  If you participate, we will request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information.  The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code).  We do not knowingly collect or display information from customers under the age of 13.

Customer Testimonials
We post customer testimonials on our web site which may contain personally identifiable information such as the customer's name.  We do obtain the customer's consent prior to posting the testimonial to post their name along with their testimonial.

Gift Certificates

For the purchase of gift certificates, you may request we send to a third party, any or all of the following personally identifiable information may be collected from you and/or the third party gift recipient: name, billing address, mailing address, email address and phone number. This information is collected for the purposes of fulfilling the order and providing customer service related to the order.

Affiliate Program

If you participate in the affiliate program, we will request certain personally identifialbel information from you. The requested information typically includes contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code). This information is collected so that we can make payments for your affiliate orders. Vo2 Maxed Inc. does not share this information with 3rd parties.

If you place an order through an affiliates link to our website, your information is kept private and confidential and is not shared with the affiliate party. Only first names are provided to affiliates of Cardio Coach™ for proof of purchase.

We DO NOT Share Personally Identifiable Information with Third Parties other than what is disclosed within this privacy statement. We do not share rent or trade Personally Identifiable information with third parties for their promotional purposes.

Agents

We use  inside shipping resources to fulfill orders, and a credit card processing company to bill you for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any other purposes.

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site

Choice/Opt-out

We provide you the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having your personally identifiable information used for certain purposes, when we ask for this information.  For example, if you purchase a product/service but do not wish to receive any additional marketing material from us, you can indicate your preference on our order form.

We do not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information. 

We use a third-party tracking service called Urchin site statistics that uses cookies [log files] to track non-personally identifiable information about visitors to our site. This information includes: demographic location, computer information such as screen resolution and browser type.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on this site. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site.

We use session ID cookies and persistent cookies.  We use session cookies to make it easier for you to navigate our site. A session ID cookie expires when you close you browser. We set a persistent cookie to store your passwords, so you don’t have to enter it more than once.
